This place, used to be the creme de la creme - now its spoiled milk. The place was cold and we were in the fireplace room. It was pathetic; the food and especially the owner who constantly monitored and removed the utensils from the children when he took the plates - they werent even done yet - waste not what not !! - what a penny pincher. The yorkshire pudding had to be requested as it was tucked away at the slicing counter - needless to say the slicer was probably told to make the portions razor thin - and not even ask if its enough - you had to beg for a more generous slab. The waitress even felt bad for his scrooge aura he gave off . The deserts were hard and you couldnt even make a main course out of the 'cold' buffet with what you had to work with - we wont be going back.

I made birthday reservations, and when I asked for the birthday cake, I was told to go the buffet and get it myself. Also, I asked for a beer and the waiter begrudgingly brought it to me, asked me to pay cash, so he wouldn't have to run through another credit card; and then had the nerve to wait behind me for his tip (which he didn't get). I know it's Friday night, and he wanted to go home, but it was only 9:00p.m., and we had a 7:30p.m. reservation, and I was told that I would have service for 2 full hours.

i can't believe that i wasted my birthday evening here. the food was deplorable - dry and stringy chicken, wood-shaving-textured burgers. there was a stench coming from the mussels which smelled like - believe it or not - dead mussels that had been sitting out for days. the food isn't fresh nor is it tasty. they have low prices, but honestly, i'd rather spend it at tim horton's. the only thing that was alright was the mashed potatoes. i will never return here in my lifetime.

The service nor the atmosphere could make up for the overpriced and overcooked food. From the wilted lettuce to the dried out chicken and schniztel, the entire meal was a total disaster. I spent no more than 30 minutes there and had a bill of $58.00 (including two soft drinks) To ad insult to injury, the manager made no apologies and never even tried to compensate in any way. I live 5 minutes from this restaurant and work in the food industry but I will NEVER return again. Strange also that I can't find a number for anyone in customer service! Would have liked to have taken this complaint higher.

The food was lacking in variety and flavour. The salads were good, but the dinner menu was lacking as was mentioned in the previous review.
The only thing that was good was the fresh dinner rolls, but who's going to pay $25 for dinner rolls.
The service was good, the waiters were nice, and the atmosphere was nice as well. The food on the other hand was not the greatest. I don't think i will be visiting again, and I would most likely advise others not to go either.

Where do I start? Every single bite got me more and more depressed. I felt as if i was eating paper...except paper tastes better. They only provided one table of main course food and isles of dessert and salads...i think they deliberatly tried to dissapiont and greatly frusterate the customers. Even the drinks were flawed which is almost impossible to do but ofcorse was somehow mangaed to be done as everything else in the resturant. So head down to Tuckers place and spend your money on food that can be found up your rear end. ;)

I just want to state how mny people actually com to the restaurant and complain about te lack of quality in the foods. Customers have a say in whatthey eat and its the customers that make us different from every oter restaurant.
Cusotmer below writes that he liked everything except tht the salad dressings should be labelled. WEll csutomer next ime your in there tell the Chef Manager and perhaps we can ge that changed for next time.
To the customer complainging about the bas tasting pizza, dont just sit back and be quiet, let 1 of the 4 Managers on the floor know what your taste is.
As a srver, I hate when you customers have a duble meaning. I fron of theservers you pretend like your meal is going well, and then you would cme on a site like here an cus about it.
NOT FAIR.
If you have any questions or comments next time your at TUCKERS MARKETPLACE dont hesitate to talk to the Manager.
Regards,
Disgruntled Server.

I mentioned we'd go again. Wow... what a difference the second time around. No sure if we went on a bad night back in February, but our dinner last night was awesome. Greater variety of Main dishes, much tastier too. We'll definitely go back if they keep this up :).
P.S. One suggestion however, they should label their dressings.

I have a beef to pick with places like Tuckers. It's not the food that prompted me to write a review, but the lousy drinks. I ordered an alcoholic beverage and it took multiple sips to taste some alcohol. For a moment I thought that the waiter gave me a virgin drink. My cosmo tasted like diluted fruit juice. When my bill came, they had the audacity to charge me for liquor tax.

I've been here twice in June, once with one other person and another time with my whole birthday party. :) Food is good, but there could be more in the main course (maybe becase Im picky). They have a meat and stir fry station. Depending on when you go, they have special stations (the first time I went there was a crepe station). Lots of varietys of salads and desserts. I'm in love with their chocolate fountain.
The service is amazing. During my birthday party I broke a plate (people were caking me) and although the manager literally went red screaming at us, the watier just laughed it off and called him a dick :) very friendly!
Price is same as a normal buffet (did I mention its a buffet? Most people don't know that). Usuaully 10$ for children and 20$ for adults.

My husband and I go for lunch and dinner several times a year and have yet to have a bad experience. There IS a wide selection and variety of meats and dishes are there if one takes a look around. There is the meat station full of rare and well done roast beef, ham, sausages, chicken, hamburgers (all you have to do is ask them to put one on for you), all the fare that goes with the meats. There is a stirfry/pasta made to order station, a dessert station, taca station, breads, soups and stews station and all the soda you can drink! I have to say we've NEVER had anything but a wonderful time there and we take friends there quite often.
The only downside to the place is the dinner isn't much different than the lunch menu and yet costs a whole lot more at dinner time. I don't think it's worth the extra cash for the dinner.

Similar to the previous review, the desserts and salads are in wide variety. The main menu is majorly lacking. On top of that, did I forget to mention how I got food poisoning at Tucker's during my most recent visit?

I'm not impressed with this place. We had the buffet, and while there was a good selection of salads and desserts, the main meal was lacking. There was some bad tasting pizza, some chicken, and some pasta. I don't recommend it!
