Definitely style over substance. I reserved in advance, noting to the gentleman on the phone that it was a very special occasion and could they give us a nice table and arrange for a candle on a piece of cake to be delivered to our table at dessert time? He said of course and we would be well-looked-after. We ended up being seated in the corner, next to the emergency exit, with a cold draft blowing on us for the duration of the evening. Our appetizers were average. My guest's meal was minuscule and my medium-rare steak was bordering on bleu. Since our server didn't come around for over 15 minutes we decided to go ahead and eat anyway. At the end of the meal, our server asked how we enjoyed our meal. We responded with just okay, motioning to the steak left on the bread plate and he asked if I wanted to package it up. I said, no, that it was undercooked, and he responded with "well, it's so hard to know what everyone likes". Certainly not what I would have expected from what I understood to be a high-end dining experience.

They had run out of what my husband ordered but were told within a couple of minutes so was not too bothered. We both enjoyed our meals, the booths are nice. Looks more casual on the exterior than it actually is, bit of a strange combination of decors, likely as this location has had a number of change overs. Lots of steps up & down, getting to the washrooms was like going to a dungeon! We liked professional attitude/dress of the staff, menu, wine list & the bruschetta was very good.

It really really bugs me when I order something and the waitress then replies sorry we are out of that. Why couldn't she tell me when she handed me the menu. The food here is okay but it cetainly isn't on the generous side. the service is adequate.

This place was a little too pretentious for me. The atmosphere is fairly enjoyable. Although the chairs look very uncomfortable, they aren't bad to sit in at all. The menu covers a wide range of tastes, and everything looks like it has a good amount of potential. Service there was average. We sometimes had to wait a bit longer than we should have. The food was too fancy though. I had the chicken cordon blue, and while it was really good and was presented nicely, that kind of dining just isn't my style. The portions weren't that great either. Pricing was what I expected at that type of restaurant.
