My parents had a group dinner party to celebrate their anniversary with 25 of their closest friends. Kalamata staff went over and beyond in food and service. They were very accomodating. As usual their food always impresses your taste buds. Their lamb was so delicate and cooked perfectly. My mom's favorite is the Milo Siko salad with calamare which she believes is some of the best she's ever tasted. Their extensive wine selection will allow anyone to find one they like. Thank you once again for a great night out!

It had been the evening of August 8, 2009. On this auspicious occasion, they held a Mardi Gras on Lakeshore West. As we couldn't wait for Honeymoon Suite to arrive, we decided to explore the local restaurant scene. We've heard about them. We walked way out of our way. We've tried them. Here is what happened.
1) The portions were WAAAY too small. I mean, reaaaaalllly.
2) Prices? I took the recommendation of the proprietor and ordered a Mousaka (which had a funny resemblance to an omelet served at the local greasy spoon for six bucks... then there was the pork souvlaki ( five tiny pieces of overcooked meat plus some underdone potatoes... forget sauce, salad, tzatziki or anything fancy like that). The total came to $28.95 (takeout) You do the math.
3) I find it hard to believe that those who give the place glowing reviews are truly sincere.
End of story
P.S. Did I mention that it is way better on Danforth?
