Comments: I'VE NEVER HAD SUCH ATROCIOUS SERVICE.
when i booked our table the night before, the host cut me off and he also hung up on me. he was extremely rude.
the hostess made rude comments about 'how bad we would smell' after the table top cooking (teppanyaki).
it was so bad that i left the restaurant before i even ordered. why? because there was no one to serve us. some waitress came by and rudely threw cups of tea at us. but when another family came in, she was asking them patiently what they wanted.
i really couldn't imagine having dinner there with such service anymore. i talked to Katsura's manager on duty (SIMON); he heard my story and said "okay. whatever" and just tried to shoo us away. no apologies, no nothing.
i went to talk to the hotel manager (JEFF), and he was very nice and patient. he did not seem surprised at all about my experience. he told me that the management has change and that as a result the 'staff don't care about anyone'. this is ridiculous. this is most definitely NOT the right attitude.
i've had good experiences before, which is why i decided to take my family there this time. but obviously, THINGS HAVE CHANGED FOR THE WORSE!
