Comments: I had read a few bad reviews centralled around poor service, too busy and bland food. I would have to disagree. It was pleasently occupied when I went, we received very great, personal service from our waiter Jordan and the food was amazing.

Appitizers were interesting and very tasty. The spinach salad was a great blend of stong cheese, warm walnuts and mild spinach. The procuitto was paired with peppery arugula, abd sweet honey and peaches, which complemented the salty nature of the meat.

For the mains, my boyfriend had the lamb, and said it was phenominal, but portions on the small side. I am a vegetarian and there were no meals that did not contain meat/fish/seafood in the menu or specials. They went to the trouble of creating a wild mushroom pasta dish that was both intricate and very tasty.

Dessert was shared rootbeer float and chocolate oatmeal cookies. Not fancy, but traditional and so very tasty.

In addition, it was our anniversary and they provided free glasses of champagne, dessert and port - over $30 worth! The price was $152 for two(including a bottle of wine, but not including the comp's).

I would recommend Globe to anyone -- great atmosphere, very friendly staff and the chefs were very accommidating to special requests.
