Comments: Jack's @ Square 1 is a great place for a casual night out. Wheather you're in the bar or in the dining area you'll be served by any one of the personable staff that will do their best to make your visit enjoyable. The menu is typical of this type of restaurant but executed well with lots of drinks to appeal your taste buds. Ignore previous posts by people making petty claims, if you want to have a good night out with your friends or family at a decent price Jack's is a good choice. | | Review Date: 2008-11-11 |

Comments: First of all, there was no one to seat us for about a good 10 minutes...What the hell? Second of all I ordered the pasta with no meat (generally it comes with bacon/pepperoni)... What a suprise, there was bacon bits hidden in the sauce! This really disgusted me as I am a vegetarian for over 10 years now and if they couldn't of made the dish without the meat it should of been said so ahead of time! My friend ordered a drink (some slushy twister drink) and a club sandwich.. on our way home we had to pull over for her to puke. Overall if you are not picky and like typical food (not much selection here), this might be the place for you. Personally I'd rather save that money and spend it somewhere nice because for the same price I could of got a way better meal that I would actually be able to indulge in. | | Review Date: 2008-07-07 |

Comments: I didnt like the food but thats not their fault because its my taste buds that disagree with the food. The menu was very limited especially the deserts section. Atompshere was good nothing wrong there. | | Review Date: 2007-06-22 |

Comments: Jack Astor's is always a good place for a group with a variety of tastes. This one is really close to Square One, so it tends to be one that I visit frequently with friends as a "central" location. If you've never been there, you have to try their garlic pan bread! It is to die for! Generally the service here is pretty good. Be careful though, during the weekend it is very busy and you may have to wait a while for a seat. | | Review Date: 2006-06-04 |

Comments: This place has its ups and downs.
The waiters are a joke and I can't stand them. The tables are covered in brown paper and the wait staff comes around and uses a crayon to write their name on the table. This is just plain stupid.
I would recommend that you NEVER tell them its your birthday or you'll have to deal with these jokers attempting to sing happy birthday. It's irritating when ANYONE sings happy birthday to ANYONE.
Besides the wait staff, the food is not as bad. The food is generally decent for this type of establishment. As the two hippies above me point out, the garlic pan bread is usually a good choice to start out with.
This place is chaotic and noisy when its busy. People flock to this place in the winter when its too freaking cold out. | | Review Date: 2005-06-29 |
