Best restaurant in town. Kudos to Big Ed and Ed Jr for creating such a great establishment.

Comments: The 1 lb burgers and the mootine are awesome! Way better than a pugger burger from O'Neal's!

Comments: I ran in today for a mootine for me and my friend. Unbelievable! I gave my friend the meatballs (after I had one...awesome!)Its not what I'd call "healthy", but if you really want comfort food, the mootine will hit the spot!

Comments: Awesome food, where else can you get the "mootine". Their smallest burger is most other places largest. Their fries are addictive.

Everyone there is great and friendly, and there are some cool fish swimming in the corner.

Comments: This place is no longer called Nimmi's, it is now Big Ed's. In the spirit of Texas beef barons they now serve the biggest dang burgers in the entire city. While the faint of heart will have to settle for a one pounder (16 ounces) those with the artery space to spare can supersize their way up to the three pounder (48 ounces). Wow! And on a curious note, the son of the owner
has invented a brand new dish. It's called mootine. It's sort of a soup with mashed potatoes, unthickened gravy (the "au jus" you can get with a roast beef sandwich) and melted cheese on top. I really haven't tried it, despite the eagerness of Ed Junior himself trying to sell customers his concoction in person. I think I'll pass, but it really is nice to see gastronomic creativity flourishing in the Hammer (that's local lingo for downtown Hamilton for you Torontonians out there...you know steel, anvil, get it?). All the luck to you boys!!
