Comments: We agreed to meet at Demetre's before going to a movie but on our arrival were told by a staff member there was a change of plans and our friend was meeting us at the bookstore nearby; we were very pleased to be told so quickly & met at Demetre's for cappucinos after our dinner.......delicious. wonderful service; loved it! | | Review Date: 2008-08-20 |

Comments: Several tables were dirty--even after someone came to our table with menus they did not clean up the table beside us. We had to sit at a small table for two because all the other larger tables were taken or filled with dirty dishes.
Ice cream was great but overpriced. I mean, come on---I can't imagine a family of our going in there for a meal and dessert. | | Review Date: 2008-06-16 |

Comments: I love this place. The food menu i don't care for, but the deserts are amazing. My favourite is "The Last Straw". It's a waffle topped with vanilla ice cream and fresh strawberries. It's to die for. As for the waiter, he does a funny twirling thing with the utensils. It was odd at first but, it puts a smile on my face every time he does it. My husband and I have been going to this cafe for years and will continue to do so for many years to come. The cafe is alway full(after 7:00pm), the deserts are awesome, and I would recommend this place to anyone who wants something different other than Dairy Queen. You don't know what desert is until you've been to this place. | | Review Date: 2008-04-17 |

Comments: Demetre's is the place to go for desserts in Burlington. I noticed the other reviews were based on food experiences and honestly I have never had anything other than dessert and/or coffee there. They have the best chocolate cake in Burlington. I am a chocolate cake fiend and connoisseur. To find not one but TWO incredible chocolate cakes under one roof is, for me, unheard of. Yes the waiter is, shall we say, flamboyant, but after the first or second visit of trying very hard not to giggle uncontrolably when he swirled my utensils at me, I came to appreciate his obvious love for his job. | | Review Date: 2007-02-02 |

Comments: I did not enjoy this restaurant at all. I tried the Chicken Mandarin salad and it was frankly awful. So awful I couldn't even eat it. The dressing had the most awful soy type flavour. Furthermore I never did see a single mandarin. The waiter thought a great deal of himself and provided little in the way of true service beyond twirling some of the utensils. This led to a fear factor of using losing some digits | | Review Date: 2006-07-20 |

Comments: Do not come here if you want dinner. I had a soup and a salad and it was definately not worth the money I paied. I could have made a tastier salad at home - and a nicer looking one! Our waiter had some funny manouever where he would flip utensils out for you, and it made me feel like I was going to lose a finger if he stepped too close. The desserts here however are very good! That is the only reason to come. | | Review Date: 2006-07-18 |
